Carlton Yentsch

Carlton's roots stem from Boothbay Harbor, Maine, where he grew up with a strong aquaculture background. He worked as a lobsterman for 30 years before pivoting and founding Ebenecook Oyster Farm.

When it comes to oysters and the coast, Carlton hopes to educate others about and protect the coastal environment he's known and treasured for many years.

Dr. Clarice Yentsch

Dr. Clarice is a scientist, author, education and museum professional, and community benefactor. As a scientist, she pioneered the use of flow cytometry to investigate marine phytoplankton and co-founded the Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences located in East Boothbay.

She believes that mentoring, learning, and teaching are all interwoven, and she has dedicated her life to sharing her discoveries with the world around her - the ripple effect of which are far and wide and still carry on at the expanded Bigelow Labs.

Colin Yentsch

Colin has been living and fishing in Boothbay since he was a child. In his youth, he got into the fishing business on board several local fishing boats. After guiding in Key West, Florida, he returned home to Maine to start his family and spent twenty years fishing tuna as his primary income.

Now, he continues to run fishing charters on the waters of Boothbay Harbor while assisting his brother, Carlton, with the oyster farm.
